Hexabrix
Hexabrix (ioxaglaat) injectievloeistof is beschikbaar in twee concentraties, 320mg/ml en 200mg/ml. (Resp. meglumine Ioxaglaat 393mg/ml-natrium Ioxaglaat 196,5mg/ml=320mg I/ml en meglumine Ioxaglaat 245,5mg/ml-natrium Ioxaglate122,7mg/ml=200mg I/ml)
HEXABRIX laag osmolaire, ionische dimer, is uniek in zijn soort. De zeer onderscheidende eigenschappen van dit contrastmiddel maken het bij uitstek geschikt voor toepassing in de Interventie Cardiologie en Interventie Radiologie zoals uit onderstaand fragment uit de officiële bijsluitertekst naar voren komt.
“Bij het gebruik van HEXABRIX 320 is in VITRO en VIVO een sterker anti-coagulerend effect aangetoond dan bij laag-osmolaire, niet-ionische contrastmiddelen. Bij het gebruik van laatstgenoemde zijn gevallen gerapporteerd, waarin bloedstolsels in catheter of spuit (‘clotting’) in vitro ontstonden. Verder is aangetoond dat HEXABRIX 320 géén plaquettaire activiteit induceert (géén afgifte van pro-coagulerende factoren) en de plaatjes-aggregatie remt, dit in tegenstelling tot niet-ionische contrastmiddelen”
HEXABRIX is specifiek geregistreerd voor de indicatie Interventionele Angiografie.
