Endorem
Endorem (Ferumoxides) concentraat voor suspensie voor infusie bevat na verdunning in 100 ml 5% isotone glucoseoplossing, 1 ml 0,112 mg ijzer.
ENDOREM is een leverspecifiek MRI contrastmiddel (SPIO = Super Paramagnetic Iron Oxide). De contrasterende werking van het middel berust op de opname ervan door de Kupfercellen in de lever. De kristallijne structuur van het vaste ijzeroxide geeft aan het product superparamagnetische eigenschappen. In de weefsels die ijzeroxide partikels bevatten, wordt het magnetische veld verstoord waardoor een reductie van het MRI signaal optreedt.
